With the shutter of the lens, time stands still. Yet in that brief moment, dreams of the future and memories of the past are captured forever under the talented and skillful mastery of portrait artist Lori Brystan.

During a successful career as an Elite model, Lori became inspired by the world of photography and the ability to create emotions through images. After modeling she continued as a professional makeup artist/hairstylist and rounded out her artistic profile by studying the art of light and film.

Lori, who has earned the reputation as one of the preeminent photographers in Southern California, has the instinctive ability to capture the feeling behind the image, the essence of the person, and the spirit of the soul through her photography. Her client list includes, Elle Dècor, MCA Records, Vans Shoes, Estee Lauder, Standard Pacific Homes and Family Circle Magazine.

Lori has two published books, High Impact Photography and Chicken Soup for the Grandmothers Soul. She also produced the film The Horse Trader.

Brystan Studios was founded in 1989 with the vision of providing clientele with a unique and personalized photographic experience. What makes Brystan Studios unique is the editorial style photography, an extensive variety of sets and props as well as professional makeup and hairstyling.
